Marylynda MacDonald is the founder and creative force behind the American fashion brand Chu Chu Loo. A multidisciplinary artist and designer, she draws deep inspiration from her late feline companion, Chu Chu Loo, the beloved namesake and muse of the brand. More than just a pet, Chu Chu Loo represents the spirit animal of the collection—his image and essence are lovingly woven into the brand's identity and visual language.

Marylynda's distinctive artistic voice is infused into the brand's iconic designs, most notably the signature Perez print—a bold splatter-paint motif inspired by her first commercial commission from real estate magnate Jorge Pérez. This collaboration marked the beginning of a dynamic career that would see her earn multiple accolades for craftsmanship and creativity, directly shaping the brand's unmistakable aesthetic.
